Who is responsible
Bravómetro is an independent project run by Héctor Contreras (Spain). For any question about your data, write to bravometro.oficial@gmail.com.
What data we process
If you browse without signing in, we only collect aggregated usage statistics, with no advertising tracking cookies.
If you sign in with Google or write to us, we process:
- Your name, email address and profile picture, provided by Google when you sign in.
- The ratings, comments, photos and places you post, with their dates.
- If you write to us through the contact form: your name, email and message, so we can reply.
- Technical data needed to keep you signed in and protect the service from abuse (for example, your IP address, temporarily).
What we use it for
- Letting you sign in and manage your ratings.
- Publicly showing your ratings with your name and profile picture.
- Moderating content before it is published and contacting you if there is a problem with it.
- Emailing you about your ratings: when we receive one, when it is published and, if we cannot publish it, why. These are notices about your own contribution; we never send advertising.
- Calculating each place's aggregated scores.
- Keeping the service secure and understanding, in aggregate, how it is used.
Legal basis
We process your data to provide the service you request when you sign up (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and based on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and measuring its use in aggregate (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with the providers we need to run Bravómetro, acting as data processors:
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.
- Google: Sign in with Google, and maps and place data.
- Convex: database and photo storage.
- Vercel: website hosting and aggregated usage statistics.
- Resend: sending the emails about your ratings, internal moderation alerts and contact form messages.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
For as long as you keep your account. If you delete it, we will delete your account data; your public ratings will be deleted or anonymised. Backups are rotated periodically.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of your data by writing to bravometro.oficial@gmail.com. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Cookies
We only use technical cookies needed to keep you signed in. Usage statistics are collected without tracking cookies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date on this page and, if the change is significant, announce it on the site.
